ESL, which stands for "English as a Second Language," refers to programs designed to help non-native English speakers learn the language. These programs are structured to support students who are learning English as their second, third, or even fourth language. ESL courses focus on developing essential language skills, including speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The goal is to encourage and guide students as they build their English proficiency, helping them feel more confident and comfortable using the language in everyday situations.
Treetops offers personalized one-on-one English tutoring and small group sessions in all aspects of language learning, tailored to individuals from all backgrounds and at various ability levels. Our supportive and enjoyable learning environment ensures that each student receives the attention they need to thrive, whether they are youth or adults.
We provide comprehensive support in areas such as speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, accent reduction, writing, academic English, grammar, business and workplace English, conversational English, and more. Additionally, we offer specialized programs for school students and general educational support to help learners achieve their language goals with confidence.

The frequency of your English tutoring sessions can be tailored to suit your specific needs and schedule. Some students prefer weekly lessons, while others opt for more intensive sessions. The key is to find what works best for you. Each lesson typically lasts at least 1.5 hours, allowing ample time for effective learning.
As with any language learning program, the time it takes to develop skills will vary depending on each student’s individual needs and how frequently they can practice. Together, we’ll create a learning plan that fits your goals and helps you progress at a comfortable pace.
As a guide, it is suggested that working toward mastering English as a second language, a student should dedicate 20-40 hours to emerging, 40-60 hours to developing, 60-80 hours to consolidating, and 80-100 hours to reaching and confident, competent level or verbal, social and literate English language skills.
